I’m looking for a pet bird to care for, could you suggest some different types? Review

I really want a pet bird, and I'm willing to take care of it and give it plenty of attention. I was hoping for a kind of bird you could teach how to talk, or sing. Could you suggest some types of birds that'd be good? Do you enjoy having a bird? How much does it cost? Can you hold and maybe even… pet a bird?

I am considering purchasing a remote training collar for my dog. Mostly to teach her to come on command, even when she’s distracted. If you have had experience with either of these two particular brands, please leave me some feed back Thanks!

Getting Ready For Your New Dog Or Puppy Review

Bringing home a new pet is a pretty big event. It can bring both feelings of excitement and nervousness, but with a little preparation you can enjoy more of the exciting parts of this big day. It’s also good to remember it’s not just a big change for you, it’s also a big change for your new pet. Anything you can do to make the transition go more smoothly will benefit both of you for the days to come.

You’ve went through the process of deciding what type of pet is best for you, you’ve decided where to get him or her and have found the right fit. There are some supplies you’ll need to get beforehand and some you can pick up shortly after bringing home your new pet. The supplies you’ll need will vary somewhat depending on whether you’re bringing home a puppy or a dog.

It’s best to bring your new pet home in a pet carrier, so that is one of the first things you’ll need. Not using a pet carrier can potentially be dangerous or messy, so using one is definitely a good idea. Remember this will be a new experience for both of you and you won’t be sure what to expect. Some dogs get motion sickness or they get nervous and have to go to the bathroom. In either case you’ll be happy to have him in a carrier.

If you’re bringing home a new puppy it’s important to puppy-proof your house first. Most puppies like to chew on things so you need to make sure you pick up items that are small enough for the puppy to swallow. Of course you’ll want to pick up anything you don’t want the new puppy to make his new chew toy as well, like your favorite new pair of shoes.

The reason puppies chew so much is because it’s a natural behavior. You can’t and shouldn’t try to stop the behavior, instead be prepared for his arrival and have a few chew toys waiting for him. Typically if you keep chew toys on hand and keep your favorite items off of the floor you’ll be ok.

You should also have the dog or puppy food, the food and water dishes, and some toys before bringing your new puppy or dog home. It’s nice if you can have everything set up ahead of time so you can enjoy spending time with your new pet instead of spending the time organizing these things. Plus this will help him get to know where the food and water will be and where the toys are.

You will want to be prepared with a collar and a leash right away too. It’s safer to keep him on a leash, especially at first. Remember he may be a little nervous and he won’t be familiar with his surroundings. Having him on a leash will also prevent him from chasing after a squirrel and darting into the street.

A pet id tag is another important thing you’ll want to get right away. Unexpected things can happen, especially when you’re not familiar with each other yet, and having a current pet id tag can make all the difference if you ever happen to loose you pet.

Bringing home a new puppy or dog can be such an exciting event. But preparing for the new pet can also be fun and it will make the transition go much more smoothly. In time you may also want to consider getting some reference guides or training manuals.
